Today's blog is a simple reminder to go vote. If you haven't heard, there's a presidential election today (I know, I was surprised too) and, while I won't go so far as to say voting is the meaning of life, I will say that it's probably a good idea to get out to the polls if only because it will get people like me off of your back.
I generally choose not to delve too much into politics on this blog because I prefer discussions and not arguments when dealing with important matters like existentialism, homelessness, and moose. However, there is one proposition I feel strongly enough about to mention here.
In my home state of Arizona, we have a proposition to define marriage as "between one man and one woman." While I find this campaign, which was incidentally already shot down in Arizona once, to be patently offensive, I must say that the ad campaigns have more than made up for the need to legislate intolerance by making commercials with epic levels of unintentional comedy.

Nothing better than an anti-gay ad that doesn't have enough self-awareness to avoid a cowboy theme. I really thought the older guy was going to bust out with "I wish I could quit you!" at the end there and then start making out with the other guy.
I think the slogan "Simple is good" might be even more offensive than the proposition.
"Simple is good. I'm President George W. Bush and I approve this message."
Sorry. I had to get one more Bush joke in before a new president is crowned.
Now go vote.
